Belay Certification Review by Ed Crusie

My recent dealings with Head Rush Tech as concerning the certification of my True-blue Belays were outstanding. Every step of the way from my receiving my e-mail notice informing me of belays due to the turn around and getting my belays back to me was 110%. Thank you very much for the outstanding customer service showed me and my company. (Posted on 1/8/2015)
recertification of TruBlue AutoBelays Review by Julie Kirk

I was very impressed with the procedure of sending in the AutoBelays for the recertification. It was a little confusing at first but after figuring it out for the first one, it was easy. Your company was very prompt in getting the job done and returning them in a quick turn-around. Thank you! (Posted on 11/2/2014)

Trublue's products are fantastic but... I inspected my webbing before sending it in for recertification. It seemed fine to me, nothing visually that would make me nervous. I sent it in to get re-certified and with no notice at all...they charged me for new webbing without calling or emailing to ask or letting me know if something was wrong. I don't know another business that is allowed to do this.

Again I love our trublues, but that made me angry.

I'm very sorry that you were angry about us replacing your webbing. We have several factors that play into that decision. For example, you might have UV damage, a bad carabiner, right or left side fraying, or loop failure. Our techs inspect every part of the webbing to insure each unit that leaves our shop is a good as new. As always we try to be as cost conscious as possible for our customers, but we also want to make sure each unit is operating in a safe manner. I'll follow up with a personal e-mail so you can see pictures of the type of webbing failures we look for. (Posted on 8/20/2014)
TrueBlu re-certification Review by kevin kirchner

I sent in one of our Trueblue units for a re-certification and to get it checked for a slapping noise that was occurring when it lowered people. It also started dropping people intermittently during the lowering process and then catching them again. I was not given any feedback about those issues, just a bill saying that they had to replace the webbing. Any explanation would have been nice.
The turn around time was great. The product is back up and functioning without issues.
**** Reply from CS Team on 7/25/2014: Thank you for your feedback, Kevin. We were not aware of the issues happening with your unit as the order was only placed for a recertification. The length of time a webbing can be used on a TRUBLUE can vary by installation. When a unit comes into our shop for Annual Recertification, the webbing is carefully inspected for signs of wear as part of the 40 point inspection process. As noted in the TRUBLUE Auto Belay Operator Manual, all end users need to perform regular inspection of the webbing on a daily, weekly and monthly basis- which it sounds like you are on top of which is great! While an end user may opt to keep a webbing in service even when signs of wear become apparent, as the manufacturer (and to ensure the safety of your climbers) we cannot return units that show these obvious signs of wear on the webbing line. It sounds like the webbing had gone through it's lifetime and replacing it resolved the issue. We apologize for not giving you a call beforehand about the bill but will make sure we stay connected with you in the future! (Posted on 7/26/2014)

Replacement webbing Review by Jenna Tholcke

It was easy to replace the webbing on my Trublue and when I called to ask questions they were super helpful as well. I am glad that it was easy and I was able to do it myself instead of sending it in to replace the webbing. (Posted on 5/12/2014)
